Disney Love...

Hello and good morning...

I LOVE Disneyland and as soon as the Simple Stories Say Cheese line came out, I knew I had to have it!!! We had annual passes for a year, so we had a fair share of Disney photos, so this was the perfect opportunity to scrap some of them.

First up: @ Disney: the older two kids were trying on some of the Nightmare Before Christmas hats while waiting in line hear Haunted Mansion

I used several of the element stickers from the collection on my page:

and Say Cheese: a photo of the kids at California Adventures:

I used one of the Vertical Elements 4x6 cut outs:

and some more of the stickers:

So if you've got some Disney photos... this line is for you.. .the fun thing is that it can be used for non Disney pages also...

Playing with a Fav...for Giveaway Monday 10/28/13

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Recently I played along with one of the Throwback Thursday challenges on the board. The challenge was to pick one of our all time favorite manufacturers and only use their product on a page. Also, since it was a Throwback Thursday challenge, the items used had to be over a year old. For as long as I can remember, My Mind's Eye has been that favorite for me! I think I have owned all of their collections over the years. Anyone remember their Frame Up's? I seriously loved those!! This was a remake they did for the 10th anniversary of them a few years ago...

As with My Mind's Eye, my scrapbook pages have evolved through the years (thank goodness right?!?) I no longer scrap the same but I still love many of the same things including My Mind's Eye. For this challenge, I used products from their "The Sweetest Thing" collection. I serious love, LOVE this line. I don't care if it is considered "old" because I think that it still looks new and fresh on my page!

Would like the chance to fall in love with My Mind's Eye like I have, and win some of this great collection? Simply leave me a comment here, telling me who your all time favorite manufacturer is, by midnight November 3rd. I will announce the winner next week just like this lucky lady who was randomly drawn from all of last week's comments...

Upside Down

Hey there, My Scraps fans!  Missy here with you today.  I can't believe October is almost gone...wow!  I'm sharing a fun and bright page with you today that I created for an upcoming challenge over on our boards.  I used a mix of Lily Bee Designs papers and embellishments...from Pinwheel and Sweet Shoppe.

I created my own messy background using mists, watercolor pencils, gelatos and modeling paste.  I just can't get enough of this messy stuff!  I then layered several patterned papers behind my silly photo and then threw in some fussy cut arrows, word stickers, buttons, brads and flair.  Looks complicated, but it really was easy to put together.

Here you can see all the layers and paste...I highly recommend making your own background with these kinds of products!  No right or wrong answer...just lots of fun!

Another detail photo...modeling paste lines and circles...you can see where it messed up, but I think that adds to the "coolness" of it!  I pop dotted the arrow for dimension.

Another close-up...

Be sure to check out the Lily Bee products HERE in the store!  You can get 40% off your order if you place one through tomorrow!!  Use the code SPOOK2013!

Have a wonderful day!

Mixin' up some collections....

I don't often mix up collections, but sometimes its fun to do something different!  On this page I used Crate Paper Flea Market, Glitz Wild & Free, and American Crafts Amy Tan Cut & Paste (all of which are in the store).  These are definitely some of my favorite collections lately!

I stenciled a bit on the background and then just layered my papers. under my photos. I mimicked the circles in my photos into my journaling block to make them look like a cohesive pattern.  Finally, the black arrows add some movement to the page.

Check out these collections and so much more in the store!

Cool Kids

Hello and good morning...

I have to say I am really digging how versatile the AC Amy Tangerine Cut and Paste line is. Last week I shared a fall page with you using it, this week, I'm sharing a more fun and playful page using the collection.

The photo is of the kids and their cousins from this past summer when we were able to get together at a cousin's wedding. It's always fun to line them all up and try and get at least one photo of the kids together..

I used AC  Amy Tangerine Cut and Paste line for this page. I got a lil messy with the background with some gesso and a mask.

I added some OA mini alphas for my title and then some of the AC phrase stickers, I'm lovin those things and added a few of the MME enamel dots:

So in case you haven't checked out the Cut and Paste line, make sure to look in the My Scraps and More store for it HERE.

Have a great day

Oh What Fun...in Giveaway Monday 10/21/13

What a fun weekend I had...tiring...but oh so fun!! My youngest son turn 12 on Saturday so he celebrated by having a sleepover party with 5 of his friends. They played football, basketball, played video games and watch a movie. This Mom is not used to staying up past 3am so like I said before, I am so tired but so very blessed!!

When I was trying to think of a scrapbook collection to go along with my Fun theme for today, October Afternoon's Midway line immediately came to my mind. All of the papers and embellishments in this line are just awesome! I recently got to play with it while I was creating a page for my cousins calendar
that I am making for her...

If you would like a chance to create with some of the papers and embellishments from this line, leave me a comment here by midnight on October 27th, for your chance. Also...if you visit the blog daily and leave the designers some love, you get an extra draw each time you do so!!

Last week's lucky winner is...

YMCA Shenanigans

Hey there, friends!  Missy here with you today.  I pulled out my stash of Crate Paper's DIY line for this page.  I knew I wanted to use it the minute I printed out this photo...it matches perfectly!  These are all my friends and fellow fitness instructors at the gym.  We occasionally get together and have drinks and dinner...and then we act a fool :)  You never know what we may do or how crazy we may get...haha!  Love all of these guys :)

I just love all the mixtures of colors and patterns in this line.  I wanted to use a lot of them together, so I did just that.

I cut this paint splatter with my Cameo...isn't it awesome?!

Layers are my favorite...they just add dimension and interest to any page.

I added some modeling paste to create some lines here...just experimenting :)

You can check out all the new Crate Paper lines in the store HERE.  I have a few of them and have yet to crack them open...they are so gorgeous in person!

Have a great day!

Missy :)

Helicopter Noses

One company that really hit it out of the park with there latest releases is Glitz Designs!  I love how all their collections are so bold and bright, and I love the color combos they put together.  I used today's sketch on the sketch blog to do this page about my kiddos playing in the yard with maple tree "helicopters"!

If you didn't know, the Finnley collection from Glitz is actually a baby line!  I didn't even know until I got the collection and noticed some of the sentiments seemed like "baby" phrases.  But I didn't buy this collection for the reason.  I loved the chartruse shade of green with the red and yellow and how about the triangles?????  LOVE those!

I first started by creating some clear, heat embossed circles and then spraying my page with some mists and using a few of the Glitz Roller Doodles here and there. I then went around my embossed circles with a black pen and drew some dots, too.

I just layered my papers behind my photo and a cluster of embellishments on the bottom right.  A strip along the top and the title in the top corner helps balance it out!  I also wanted to add a few wood elements to help keep the page with a natural feel

Check out all the wonderful new GLITZ collections HERE in the store.

Oh Happy Day

Every time I hear that I think of the movie Sister Act 2, LOL!!! In this case though I'm referring to Fancy Pants What a Wonderful Day Collection.  I've created quite a few pages from this collection and I'm still not tired of it.  The colors are so cheerful and the patterns so much fun.

This is a page of my daughter and one of her best friends at the bowling alley.  They are so precious together.

Here is a close up of these two cuties and some of the fun elements that come in the collection.

It's Fall

Hello and good morning..

If you're like me you are more than ready for fall. There's nothing that I love more than cool crisp days, pumpkin patches, and some warm hot cocoa or putting on hoodies and jeans to keep warm. For this layout, I found an older photo of the kids when we went to Disneyland in October, which is my FAVE time of year to go there, and all the fun decorations are out.

I used Amy Tangerine's Cut and Paste line for my layout. It's got a great mix of some fall colors in the collection to use, perfect for seasonal pages.

I punched some leaves out of several of the papers and then added it to the page:
I also used the Phrase Stickers, which are super cool. They are like washi tape and clear but stickers. They are a perfect addition to any project.
So maybe sure you check out all the fun goodies in the Amy Tangerine Cut and Paste line, it's great to work with.

Thanks so much for stopping and have a great day,
