Silly

It's Saturday and finally the weekend!  Jennifer here to share a layout I created using the new
Echo Park Paper Jack and Jill collection.  I just ordered this from the My Scraps and More shop and couldn't wait to use it! I always appreciate a great boy themed collection and Jack and Jill doesn't disappoint!

I used the airplane printed paper and a cut file from The Cut Shoppe for my background.

Here you can see the many different prints as well as the coordinating Element Stickers that come in the collection.

Loving the cute tags on the Element Sticker Sheet! Here, I used one and added some bakers twine from my stash. I also adding in some flair and wooden veneer stars to accent.

Don't you love the colors of this line?? One of my favorite prints is the orange/blue/white plaid!  For my title, I used some American Craft Thickers from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check out this collection plus much more in the shop!
Have a great day!

Vegas Dream

Happy Friday!  Missy here.  Today I'm sharing a layout I created using Sketch #100 from the My Scraps Sketch Blog.  The super talented Laura Whitaker designed the sketch, and I really love it!  I pulled out my Amy Tan Stitched goodies from American Crafts and went to work.  There is still a lot of this collection left in the store HERE, so check it out!

I changed my photos to black and white because they had a lot of hard to scrap colors in them.  I knew I wanted to use the black & white striped paper, so I paired it with white cardstock and added a bit of white gesso and watercolor.  The rest is layers and embellishments scattered around.  A pretty easy page to throw together!

I love adding my own stitching to things for that little extra touch.  I added pop dots to this little red and white heart strip and the big Daydream circle.  This made the flair button easy to tuck underneath it.

I really love the clear acetate stickers in this collection...so perfect for mixing up your title!  I've been hoarding those foam work Thickers....I just never want to run out of them :)

Here's one more close up of the top...just a cute clear sticker that I added to white cardstock first, some washi tape and some tangled thread.

Be sure to check out the Sketch Blog HERE....and get ready for another new one next week!  Thanks for visiting us, and have a great weekend!

Brrrr!!!

I kid, I kid.  Lisa here...writing to you from Sunny Southern California (I know, I know, please don't hate me!) to share this page I created for our Word Up Challenge.  Use the word "brr" on a page. I chose to create my layout using the brand spankin new Simple Stories Snow Fun Collection Kit.  It tells the story of a little college visit I took with my daughter Jillian to Greely Colorado last month.  Boy was it cold!! (I'm pretty sure that 15 degrees is cold to anyone but to our weak Southern California blood, it was SUPER cold- hence the title!)

Hope to see you playing along in the forum with our challenges!  You can find this one HERE.

Love This Cute Face.

Hello and good morning....

Happy Tuesday!!! Even though Valentine's is over, I am just completely obsessed with the Crate Kiss Kiss collection. Honestly, I am literally... always grabbing for this line!!! I want to just keep creating with it, and it works with almost any photo that I want to scrap too.

This photo is of my little one just being her silly, cute self. She loves this glasses that the older kids broke the lens out of... and this girl loves her ice water. I looked back while I was parked and couldn't resist a photo of her.

I layered little hearts down the side of the page and added just a pop of red to the page, keeping with mainly pinks:

I also used several of the Ephemera  pack embellies and loved the fun vellum arrow to add:

I know I am getting to the bottom of this collection and will be terribly sad when it's all used it.. so if you get the chance, there's a bit of it left in the My Scraps store, so snatch it up before I do...

Thanks soooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Winners and some squares!

I love following manufacturers blogs and being inspired by challenges by their teams.  Recently on the October Afternoon blog, there was a challenge to use 12 squares on your page.

Since the Saturday Afternoon collection just arrived in the store, I was anxious to break into it, and made three pages including this fall one:

I used a few bits from some other collections from OA like Apple Cider.

I used 12 squares of different sizes and just added some different bits to them here and there.  Some of them I added stitching around, and the large one I punched out some leaves....then I used the punch parts on my page, too.

I was given the super fun "Pinwheel Passion " background cutfile to work with for my layout!
I loved this fun cutfile, it is just so whimsical and playful. When waiting for the file to complete, my sweet little eyed 3 year old got happy "pressing buttons" stopping the cut before completion. I let out an exasperated sigh, gently removed the paper, only to decide, that I liked the mistake in front of me, and I would make it work!!

I like how fun the edge cut looked, and knew right away that I wanted to back it with the Studio Calico Brighton Pier star paper.  I wanted to give the cutfile a fun look, and chose to use the Pebbles From me to You paper to cut the pinwheel shapes and place them with pop dots for added dimension.

I chose to add a crate paper photo overlay frames to my photo and embellish it up with all my sequins , floating dots , and wood veneer pop dots from MME. I finished off my title with these super fun glittery Jillibean Soup letters!

I hope you like how I used this fun cutfile and it inspires you to work more with your cameo and check out the rest of the awesome cutfiles in store!

Here is the cut file I used from 17Turtles:

Happy Summer with 17 Turtles!

Happy Friday, friends!  Missy here with you today.

This week on the My Scraps & More Blog, the design team has collaborated with 17Turtles to showcase some projects using some awesome cut files!

17turtles offers a wide range of digital cut files that are perfect for paper crafting, scrapbooking and other craft projects such as cards, home decor, wall art, and more.

You may also want to check out the 17Turtles blog for yet ANOTHER giveaway!!! Another chance to win a gift certificate to the store!

Here is the cut file I worked with:

I really love this cut file because it reminds me of Summer!  I pulled out the older Vintage Bliss line from Simple Stories and paired it with a little bit of Echo Park.  My background is from the American Crafts Plus One collection.  I just all of these bright colors, and this cut files makes it easy to get a lot of colors & patterns in small bits all over the page.  I love backing die cuts with paper!  Fun and easy :)

I pulled out some really old yellow glitter Thickers...they worked perfectly for this layout.  I also added in a bit of gesso and gelatos here...I feel compelled to add some color smudges on all of my pages...haha!

Here you can see the fun mix of patterns.  I can't even remember how many patterned papers I used to back this die cut...and since the triangles are small, the various patterns don't overwhelm the page.

And one more close up of the layers and pretty colors.

I hope this inspires you to check out the 17Turtles store and see for yourself how many fun cut files are there!  Be sure to check out all of the blog posts this week for your chance to win!
